Bjorn Formosa – founder of ALS Foundation Malta visits Foster Clark Products

On Friday April 28, Foster Clark employees welcomed Bjorn Formosa – founder of ALS Foundation Malta – at one of the company’s manufacturing plants.

Perceived to be an inspiration to people from all walks of life, few Maltese people have managed to enter our collective consciousness the way Bjorn has.

Bjorn was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 2015, and since then he has opted to focus his attention on helping others and dedicated himself to raising funds and increasing awareness of this condition.

During the visit Bjorn remarked that, since being diagnosed, he managed to do much more than he ever imagined possible. In turn, this drives him to make the most out of each and every second.  Bjorn does not seek fame or recognition. His only goal is to continue raising awareness and continue supporting research about ALS while aiming to improve the quality of life of patients affected by this condition.

After giving a short talk to a number of employees, Bjorn also toured one of the Foster Clark manufacturing plants where he was shown a step by step process of how our products are produced. During the tour, some of the employees had the opportunity to meet and speak with Bjorn. They were all touched by his determination and hope.

At the end of the visit, Bjorn was presented with a donation on behalf of the management and staff of Foster Clark.  The employees contributed to this donation and management doubled the amount so as to assist toward this worthy cause.
